i salute you! (notre edition)
February 18, 2007i have always honored teachers.
they are the people who truly are the movers and shakers of any land.
as such, i want to offer this entry to my teachers and to all members of the pedagogy for their infinite contribution to the world.
a list of the teachers and mentors who have touched my life:
just a rundown, before old age erases my memory, here are my advisers i notre dame of greater manila:
kinder 1 st. raphael (1989-1990)) - miss de castro (we only had one teacher for all subjects)
kinder 2 st. luke (1990-1991) - miss laxa (bad memories…bad memories…); didn't see her. she was fired.
grade 1 st. william (1991-1992) - miss la rosa (and science&technology) (she's no longer with notre dame) (other teachers were: ms. betio for math, uhmmm… mrs. abano for clve, forgot the others)
grade 2 st. leo (1992-1993) -miss colocar now, mrs. joaquin (and language); (other teachers were: miss salazar for sibika, miss ervite for reading, who else?)
grade 3 st. william (1993-1994) - miss viray (reading, language, sibika); (others include: miss javier for math, mrs. reyes (retired) for filipino…)
grade 4 st. jerome (1994-1995) - mrs. abano (and clve), others include miss oro now, mrs. henzon for math, miss saplala for science, ms. quiapos for language, ms. basa for reading, mrs. ervite for music and arts, mr. pasamonte for filipino
grade 5 st. john (1995-1996) - ms. oro now, mrs. henzon (and math), others include: ms. saplala for science, ms. adriano for language, ms. viray for sibika, ms. sarmiento (retired) for filipino, ms. lay for reading, ms. daria for music and arts
grade 6 st. jude (1996-1997) - ms. rosemarie ramirez (also, reading), also: ms. antonio (no longer with notre dame) for language, mrs. ching for hekasi, mrs. haboc for filipino, mr. bolante for p.e., miss bolo (no longer with notre dame) for work education, mrs. ballon for science and technology.
1st year isaac (1997-1998) - ms. gail garcia (and english), others include: ms. mejia (no longer with notre dame) for technology, and home economics, ms. bea (now, mrs. paragas) for typing, ms. jose (no longer with notre dame) for algebra 1, ms. morante for social studies-philippine history, mrs. dia+ (she already passed away) for filipino, mrs. santos (no longer with ndgm) for PEHM, mrs. tolosa for CLVE, mrs. manapsal for science and technology.
2nd year rizal (1998-1999) - mrs. eleanor gavan (and biology),ms. necessito (no longer with ndgm) for THE then, mr. panistante for electricity 1, mr. yamzon (no longer with ndgm) for PEHM, mrs. dia+ (she already passed away) for filipino, mrs. pil for algrebra 2, ms. sanopo (stayed only for a year) for social studies-asian history, mr. palanog for computer 1,sister malou and ms. datu both for CLVE, mrs. maliwat and ms. axibal both for english 2.
3rd year st. augustine (1999-2000) - ms. zenaida gentica - asis (and english 3), mr. cumplido for electricity 2, mr. balungay for PEHM, mrs. bulaong for filipino, mr. mediana (retired) for geometry, mr. gabertan (retired) for social studies - world history, mr. palanog for computer, mrs. napacia (no longwer with ndgm) for CLVE, mrs. gracias for chemistry.
4th year st. eugene (2000-2001) - mr. teddy ramos (english 4, entrepreneurship and accounting), mr. cumplido for electronics, mr. ramiscal for PEHM, mrs. bulaong for filipino, mrs. lopez for trigonometry and pre-calculus, mrs. talastas-lucero for social studies - economics, mr. palanog for computer, ms. bernabe for CLVE, and ms. maquimay for physics.
other teachers who i've had the opportune to be mentored: ms. lozada, mrs. alberto (prefect of discipline), mrs. ugay (now, the principal), ms. cainglet and ms. yaranon (english).
