the year that was

January 1, 2007

 2006 has officially come to its glorious end. as the global citizens look forward to the promises that the new year brings, i look back to the blessings, tragedies, and things in between that i experienced in the recently concluded 2006.

january - a month after ms. jenny teves left rustans, and some "rigodon" in marcomm's organizational chart, i was all alone in the customer relations team. heck, why called it a team? i needed to prepare everything just in time for its third-week-of-january launch. the approval of the collateral materials was still hanging.

february - rustan's fsp colors was still in its skeletal form. amidst my efforts to really finish it, the top bosses were still at at loggerheads with regard to some internal issues.

- as a sideline, i wrote script for generali pilipinas' kick-off event.

march - middle of the month, i submitted my resignation letter.

- script for another generali pilipinas' kick-off event.

april - i officially joined digicon wizard events group. crazy yet fab things were about to start this month.

- stars in stripes at tgifriday's-makati. first-ever event we organized. a charity event.

may - almost staying at mommy ria's residence.

june - first trip via plane. went to iloilo, bacolod, and boracay island with digicon family.

july - barchamps - full-event coordination. client: friday's restaurant

- amway diamond recognition (tero and fernandez)- full-event coordination. client: amway philippines

august - depression month

october - biggest event ever. sinag pilipinas: the future shines brighter. amway sales convention 2006 at the grand ballroom of hotel philippine plaza.

november - amway diamond recognition (driz)

- the next day, after the event, flew to cagayan de oro (3days) for the ocular inspection

december - amway diamond recognition (tero) in cagayan de oro

- experienced pinoy river rafting. jumped off a 30-foot bridge.

well, i must say, 2006 definitely made history, at least to me. i have so much to thank about for everything that happened to me, to my group, and to my family that year.

as the new year dawns, i have nothing to say to 2007, but "2006 was great, i hope you'd do your best to outshine it!"

here's to the wonderful year that was and to a glorious year that will be!
