days to go, 2006 is history. as the world prepares to bid farewell to it, psychics, astrologers, geomancers, chiromancers, and fortune tellers in between are sprouting everywhere to spread their news–good or bad–as always.
in the eastern zodiac, 2007 is the year of the fire pig. unfortunately, those who were born in the year of the rat are deemed to have an unfortunate year. will i believe in this? as it is right now, i'm not that kind of person who believes in fortune telling. although i (quite) believe in astrology. but that li'l belief (in astrology) is dwindling. going back to the chinese calendar… geomancers warn that those "rat" people should be careful in getting robbed anytime the coming year. he didn't, however, mentioned any particular form of robbery. i haven't been robbed (neither mugged) since i was born. although i have read books/articles on what to do in this unfortunate situation, i really have no idea what will i do if this happens to me. will i have the courage to say "no," or will i give in? i have no intention of answering this one. if i can have it my way, i want to leave it as an unanswered question. anyway, a clout of negativity awaits me in 2007, if i'm to believe the claims of these people who have the power of prescience.
hopefully, receiving a "fortune plant" this christmas may come in handy as 2007 dawns. i hope it'd be a helpful weapon as i face the evil that awaits me as predicted by the geomancers. and, oh, i shall not forget the "tube of light" that i've learned. this has been a good protection every time i'm outside. well, these two, just like the predictions, are founded on belief and faith. it's a matter of how one believes in his/her "weapons" to fight the negative energies.
a battle of good and evil coming up in 2007…i don't know what's at stake next year, but, for sure, it'll be an exciting one!
